Organization of DaMBIC

The establishment of DaMBIC is a joint collaboration between the faculties of Natural Sciences and Health Sciences at the University of Southern Denmark (SDU) in Odense and it was enabled by an infrastructure grant from the Danish Ministry of Science and by co-financing from the Faculties of Natural Sciences (NAT) and Health Sciences (SUND) in December of 2009. In accordance, responsible center scientists come from both faculties and there are center locations at each faculty. The existence of separate locations is also motivated by a strong desire to enable molecular imaging in a wide range of specimens.

There are two main center locations, one at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the Natural Science faculty, and one at the Animal Research Facility at the Health Science faculty. The directors of DaMBIC are Jonathan R. Brewer and Henrik Ditzel.
