Demo of Olympus FV3000 confocal microscope

Between 6 November to 13th of November 2017 we are hosting a demo session of Olympus FV3000 confocal microscope.

Specifications

It is equipped with 7 lasers, 2 GaAsp detectors and two regular PMTs, resonant scanner and galvo scanner. Superresolution module and deconvolution.  Able to go to 120nm resolution under specific conditions.

4 fully spectral detectors (2 PMTs, 2 GaAsP PMTs)
Hybrid scanning unit consisting of Galvo (Normalscan: 1 fps @512x512 Pixels) and Resonant scanner (30 fps @512x512 Pixels, 438 fps @512x32 Pixels)
Transmitted detector
LiveCell Imaging package, consisting of z-drift compensator and cell Vivo incubator for CO2- and temperature control
Widefield fluorescence illumination lamp, filter cubes for UW (DAPI), Blue (GFP) and Yellow (Texas Red) excitation for fluorescence observation through eyepiece.
7 Diode Lasers: 405, 445, 488, 515, 561, 594, 640 nm

Olympus Super Resolution for Resolution of down to 120 nm
Advanced Software Functionalities: Tiled Imaging (stitching), spectral scanning with 2 nm spectral resolution, spectral deconvolution, Sequence manager, 3D Deconvolution and many more
Objective lenses:

  • dry lenses: 1.25X (NA 0.04), 2X (0.08), 4X (0.16), 10X2, 20X (0.75), 40X2
  • Oil lenses: 60XO (1.35), 60XOSC2 (supercorrected, NA 1.40)
  • Silicon oil immersion lens: 30XS (NA 1.05, WD 0.8 mm); particularly useful for live-cell imaging and 3D reconstructions (refractive index = 1,406)
